Daedalic Entertainment, the publishers of the game recently revealed a bit about the theme and story of the game. The game pivots a woman named Nicole returning to the hotel owned by her family. She has been given the authority to the hotel after the recent death of her father. The concept makes it pretty clear that she is not interested in it and to make the situation worse, a blizzard hits the area and makes her confined to the memories she thought she had escaped.

Though she is physically alone, an assistant keeps calling her to make her not feel isolated. The vibes are pretty similar to The Shining. Some dark and mysterious things connected to the hotel and it is up to her to discover them all by maintaining her sanity.

The further one moves into the hotel, the more revelations the character starts to experience. The creepy backdrop intensifies the chilling environment. The exploration through various sections of the game is pretty thrilling as well. Every room of the hotel is designed with different themes, providing variety to the visual appeal.

The Steam description of the game suggested that Nicole had left her father after coming to know that her mother had found that he had been cheating her with a pregnant woman named Rachel Foster. As suggested by the title, Rachel had committed suicide. Now the question is, whether she had actually committed suicide or Nicole’s father had some unmentioned dark past. This is what the players have to discover throughout their journey.
