The old feud between Cher and Madonna has emerged back with one of Cher’s old interview doing rounds on social media. The interview was held in 1991 where she talked about her then-rival Madonna in a not so friendly manner.

We can see in the footage Cher drags Madonna in old resurfaced interview – calls her nemesis ‘rude’ and ‘not beautiful!’She also called her out by referring her to be ‘not unbelievably talented!’

The interview was on a British talk show called Wogan with Terry Wogan as the host.

Being well informed on the ongoing rivalry between the two, the host talked to Cher about Madonna. He asked her if she was also jogging to keep herself fit like Madonna, hoping to stir up the drama. Cher sarcastically shot down the host and also Madonna by saying, ‘Well, you mean like my best friend, Madonna?’

Reacting to this, the live audience can be seen laughing out loud in the footage.

Wogan kept on defending himself by explaining that he thought it was a subtle way to drag Madonna into the conversation.

Cher retorted back fiercely suggesting to drag her by her hair.

Wogan didn’t stop nagging her about the rivalry and insisted her to confirm that she wasn’t very ‘keen on Madonna.’

Cher clarified that things have gotten to be so blown out of proportion. She stated that when she was asked what she thought of Madonna back in the United States, she has said that Madonna was ‘unbelievably creative’. In her days she was pretty good at doing the same thing that Madonna was doing at that time, and she was doing it much better than her. She further claimed that Madonna was unbelievably creative because she was not unbelievably talented, she was not beautiful, and she was kind of rude.’

Cher clarified later that despite all the speculations, she has an immense amount of respect for Madonna and her craft.

However, she did not take back her statement of calling the pop diva ‘kind of rude’.
