An unfortunate blast occurred in the US city of Nashville just on the day of the holy Christmas. Many people were severely injured and the communication systems around Tennessee are knocked out temporarily.

Human bodies were found near the explosion as reported by the US media.

I was a powerful blast within the city on Christmas day and police suspected that the explosion of the camper van was intentional.

Officers were looking into gunshot reports early morning. They came across the camper van around 6 in the morning with a warning message to leave the area.

They heard a big boom and the van exploded within a few minutes of the broadcast.

The police reported that one of the police officers was blown away by the force of the explosion.

Police have posted an image of the van as it was described by Nashville police. According to the police, that particular van arrived at the spot of the blast early morning on Friday.

They shared the information on Twitter, “BREAKING: This is the RV that exploded on 2nd Ave N this morning. It arrived on 2nd Ave at 1:22 a.m. Have you seen this vehicle in our area or do you have information about it? Please contact us via Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463 or online via http://fbi.gov/nashville. @ATFHQ”.

Due to the accident, the Federal Aviation Administration temporarily stopped all the flights out of Nashville International Airport. Telecommunication systems are currently knocked off for the blast in downtown Nashville. As long as the abrupt telecommunications issues are not fixed, all the flights will be halted till 3 p.m. local time.

The effect of the blast was severe. Nearby buildings are damaged as windows were shattered and trees fell down on the roads. Water pipes are in a bad condition; a video was shared on social media immediately after the blast, showing the damaged pipelines that had lead to a water crisis in the locality.

Officers encountered an approaching vehicle with a warning that said a bomb would go off in 15 minutes. The officers immediately tried to evacuate the area and called in the bomb squad to defuse the bomb. “Shortly after that, the RV exploded,” Drake said at a midday news conference.

A video was found on social media that showed it was clearly telling people “… if you can hear this message, evacuate now,” a few seconds before the explosion.

After the explosion, the area was covered in black smoke and flames. It happened close to Nashville’s tourist scene which is generally occupied with honky-tonks, restaurants, and shops.

“We do not know if that was a coincidence, or if that was the intention,” police spokesman Don Aaron said.

Though the police team is making further investigation, they haven’t found any motive behind this blast.

They’re interrogating some people found in the area to get a lead. It’s still not clear if anyone was there inside the van.
