Actor and director Seth MacFarlane said,” I am deeply saddened at the news of Lisa Banes’ passing. We had the good fortune to work with her on The Orville this past year. Her stage presence, magnetism, skill, and talent were matched only by her unwavering kindness and graciousness toward all of us.”

The actor has also added, “A tremendous loss…” to describe the incident.

New York police confirmed the news that the actress was hit on the road by a scooter while she was walking down a pedestrian crossing in Manhattan on 4 June.

The accident caused a severe head injury and Bane was taken to hospital. However, the actress could not survive the impact and subsequently died on Monday.

New York Police Department said in a statement, “The scooter then fled the location, continuing northbound.”

The NYPD further added, “There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.”

Lisa’s wife Kathryn Kranhold paid tribute on Twitter along with photos of them.

Lisa Banes is one of the most talented who worked in several varieties of TV shows and Broadway stage plays from the ’80s. However, she widely garnered recognition after working in David Fincher’s ‘Gone Girl’. The small yet effective character of Marybeth was apt for her.

It was featured by Ben Affleck as Nick Dunne and Rosamund Pike as his wife and the main character of Amy Elliot.

The movie received four Golden Globe nominations, including the best actress for Pike.

Back in the premiere of the movie, Lisa Banes said “The wonderful thing about this movie is not everything you work on everyone is sort of together, having a good time. We all just bonded so much.”

She also said, “We really dig each other and that’s like gold, you can’t buy that.”

The artist has shared some of the big screens in Gore Verbinski’s A Cure for Wellness, and Freedom Writers. She also made some TV appearances in the shows like Trials of Rosie O’Neill, The King of Queens, and Six Feet Under.
