Three People Injured in a Stampede Breakout at a Travis Scott Concert

Deadline.com reported stampede breaks out at Travis Scott concert and three people were injured that was being held in Houston at the Astroworld music festival. It took place only a few minutes before the gates were supposed to open at noon when concert-goers suddenly started to push and rush through the crowd trespassing metal barricades and running towards the main entrance.

Reports released by KTRK-TV say that three people were injured at the stampede and have suffered from minor injuries on their legs. However, they were immediately taken to hospitals nearby for first-aids and other necessary medical actions right after the trampling. Travis Scott, the creator of the festival posted a video on his account showing how a happy event turned into chaos within minutes.

The footage that was posted by Travis Scott shows that concert-goers became erratic and were climbing over metal barriers that were holding the crowd. A crowd of people pushed down the gates of the entrance and ran towards the door that led to the concert. Houston Police told KHOU-TV, the CBS affiliated news station that following the incident, they will deploy more forces to control the crowd in a civil manner.

The line-up of the Astroword music festival included stars who hailed from the city of Houston including Rosalia, Migos, Pharrell, Gucci Mane and, Travis Scott of course. The organizers estimated a footfall of about 50,000 people at the event.

Travis Scott’s year has been quite an eventful one. It was reported before that at the Super-Bowl half-time show, Travis shared the stage with Big Boi and Maroon 5 that took place around the beginning of this year. Then in August, his documentary was released on Netflix showing his life and world through the director’s eye.

This is not the first chaotic breakout at a Travis Scott’s concert. It was previously reported by the New York Times that back in 2017, he faced lawsuits from a fan who claimed that the then 23-year-old was pushed from a third-floor balcony and was then pulled into the stage.

The man in the news was 23-years-old Kyle Green as per The New York Times who was paralyzes upon being dragged on to the stage after his fall. All this occurred at a Manhattan venue in Terminal 5 in April of 2017. The lawsuit was filed by Green against David Stromberg, Bowery Presents, and Travis Scott.

The various charges of the lawsuit filed by Green against the organization and the two individuals included recklessness, carelessness, and negligence and also claimed a certain compensation amount for his damages and physical trauma.
