SANDBOX Gaming has once again proved their superiority in the gaming domain with their great performance at the League Champions Korea’s Summer Split.

The team has earlier secured the ninth position ninth in the LCK Spring Split with an unfortunate 5-13 record. But at the summer promotion, they effortlessly destroyed Griffin from the Korean league before moving on to defeating Seorabeol Gaming with 3-0 on Sunday. And with this win Sandbox Gaming secure final spot in League Champions Korea’s Summer Split 2020 Season.

They have previously placed fourth and fifth respectively in the spring and summer in2019. But they performed very poorly due to an offseason roster rearrangement and were placed at the bottom of the table in 2020.

The star players of the team ADC Moon “Route” Geom-su and top laner Park “Summit” Woo-tae gave the team the essential boost with their best efforts giving a steady above-average performance even though the team had a streak of poor performances due to the issues with the pick and ban phase and the jungle and mid lane positions.

SANDBOX’s Yoo “FATE” Su-hyeok gained the attention of the fans wiping out Seorabeol’s Yang “Danchung” Hyeon-jong in the mid lane completely. He overwhelmed the opponent in every chance he got with his masterful performance.

The team needs to be more careful with its roster in the future for better results. They need to work more on their teamwork utilizing the power of their individual players forming stronger gameplay if they want to perform better going into the Summer Split. Even though Summit was considered to be a substitute for T1 once in the offseason, he has quickly become one of the best top laners in the region.

Though the exact date of the LCK Summer Split has not been announced, it is likely to start in June. This last promotion tournament for LCK marks the end of an epoch where rookie teams like Griffin dominated the Splits. This historic event paves the way for a brighter future of the region in the LCK.

LPL and LEC have helped in bringing in well-established organizations wanting to create their brand and fanbase by successful franchising. They have also helped numerous rookie talents in the region to come out victoriously offering stable revenue which they can earn instead of the poor salary they received before the franchising started. Growing with full potential the LCK will be starting its journey in June.
