The very famous R&B singer, The Weekend, took to Instagram this Monday on his Instagram handle and through a post announced that he has donated a staggering sum of $500,000 across different organizations particularly three in number so that the black community can be helped out during the difficult time they are going through. The brilliant performing artist has posted donation receipts of all the three donations that he made and these are reports according to People Magazine.

As per reports from the news outlet People Magazine, $ 200,000 has been donated by the Weekend to the Global Network of Black lives Matter. In the post, there is a caption it has been stated by The Weekend that it is very important to continue with the support they are providing their brother and sisters who are out there on the streets and has risked their everything so that a great change can be brought for the well being of the black people. It has also been urged by The Weekend for those people who have got tremendous wealth to do the same thing and help those people in need of it.

As per reports, that has been reported previously that this past Monday, the death of George Floyd happened and donations are announced by a plethora of celebrities for the several groups, as well as the pro-African American movements. For example, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively have revealed that they have been donating a staggering $ 200,000 to the fund of the NAACP.

It has been tweeted in a post that to keep on supporting the sisters and brothers who are out there and risking their lives and everything so that actual change can be pushed for the black lives who are their own. In the post, everybody has been urged who has big pockets to come out in support of black lives and provide them with very big and huge amounts. It has also been said that if somebody has less money they can provide according to their strength even for the fact that a small amount is donated.

It has also been announced by Niecy Nash that on Friday in good morning America that she along with the rest of her cast and crew from the Reno 911! is going to donate an amount of $ 10,000 personally towards the family of the man who has fallen because of this great tragedy that has hurt humanity in particular.

In addition to that, it has been revealed by other stars who have made donations to groups like the non-profit organizations such as the Minnesota Freedom Fund that has helped in paying the bill for those who are arrested during the time of the protests. So far, donations to the organization have been made by stars that include big names like Steve Carell, Seth Rogen, Janelle Monae, and Don Cheadle.

Jameela Jamil and Kehlani have revealed that their donations are a whooping sum of $ 1,000 as well. A page called GoFundMe has also been created by the brother of George Floyd so that they can help in paying for the costs of the funeral as well as the lodging, traveling, and also the counseling. Since the page has already been revealed, it accrued a mammoth figure of over $9 million.
