Craig Gore, a writer on the show Law and Order is in trouble with the showrunner Dick Wolf for his controversial post on his social media. He was recruited in early May to work on a Law and Order: SVU spin-off starring the SVU star, Christoper Meloni. On Monday, when there was a protest going on in West Hollywood, he posted a photo of himself with a large gun with a very offensive caption.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dick Wolf from Law and Order: SVU fires writer who says he would ‘light up’ protestors if they vandalized his property.

In his post, Gore, who previously worked on NBC’s Chicago PD before getting hired on the SVU spin-off, wrote that the protestors were looting at Sunset Boulevard and if they tried to wreck his property, he will ‘light up’ the protestors.

Wolf clarified to The Hollywood Reporter that such provoking behavior, especially during such a turbulent time won’t be tolerated and they took action as soon as they could.

NBC had gone with another SVU spin-off back in March of this year. It brings back the much-loved character Detective Stabler played by the popular actor Christopher Meloni. Regarding the firing, the actor commented that he had no idea who Gore was, in his social media.

Though the protests were peaceful at their initial stages, they soon turned into vandalism, looting, and riots. This is rapidly spreading all over the globe, including Canada and the United Kingdom.

The protestors have spared some pieces of property. The widowed wife of Kobe Bryant, Vanessa Bryant shared a picture of an untouched mural of Kobe and Gianna in LA on Monday on her social media. She expressed her love for the city of Los Angeles with a heart emoji with the caption ‘Kobe and Gianna’.
