Country Musician Carrie Underwood talks about Her First Ever Christmas Album in Interview

This holiday season, country singer Carrie Underwood has a special gift for all her fans.

The artist came out with her very first Christmas album, My Gift back in October. Now, she has landed her very own HBO Max special that will accompany her Christmas project. Audiences can tune into the special on Crave in Canada.

The album, My Gift: A Christmas Special from Carrie Underwood comprises of some of the most loved, original holiday classics. The seven-time Grammy winner puts together 11 tracks for the project that also includes a duet with John Legend on his new ballad Hallelujah.

The special provides viewers an insight into the behind-the-scenes look of the singer herself recording the song, Little Drummer Boy alongside her five-year-old son Isaiah. The little one also loves to sing according to the artist as revealed to ET Canada’s Cheryl Hickey.

The mother of two is proud of her son and his inclination towards music. She said that her child sang from his heart which is the biggest acknowledging factor here. Although the little boy does not understand her job properly and he does not know that a show comprises of many people with a stadium or hall filled with audiences. According to Carrie, her son might see all these in action but he might not register exactly what is going on.

She said that although he is yet to understand the various technicalities of music and singing, he enjoys singing with all his heart, and this genuineness brims in the songs that he performs most adorably.

Underwood was asked if her son shows signs of following her footsteps to which she said that his tryst with music is visible. His mind is very attentive when it comes to lyrics as he remembers lyrics very well. The kid also makes his own songs which is a really good sign of a creative mind in the making. The happy mother is just waiting to see how things unfold.

Like any other celebrity, Underwood likes to keep a balance in her children’s life private and showing intimate moments on social media or television. She said that co-parenting is really crucial when it comes to deciding what is for the public and what is not. She is in constant conversation with her husband Mike Fisher in deciding which moments are for everyone and whether it is worth a public release.

Like any other concerned mother, Carrie Underwood states that she does not want her children to be too much part of her public life as a superstar, singer, and celebrity. The children are young and soon they will have their own lives. She makes sure that her actions or posts do not come back to haunt them or embarrass them in any way, especially when they are older and wiser.
