The fans or the users of Final Fantasy VII are pretty familiar with the working methods of Summon Materia.

In the Final Fantasy VII Remake, this Summon Materia is going to receive a huge boost. The team has been focusing a lot on the game’s marketing and promotional campaigns, especially on these summon spells, and to everyone’s delight, the first summons that had acquired in the original game recently received a lot of praise on its official Twitter handle for the Final Fantasy VII Remake. Now, fans got to know Final Fantasy VII’s classic ChocoMog summon spell makes a comeback in Final Fantasy VII Remake.

The first summons that was acquired by Materia in the 1997 original release was certainly the ChocoMog.

When the users leave the Midgar in the first disc and arrive at the Chocobo Ranch, a pen of Chocobos dancing around can be witnessed by the Cloud. And, at the last of the little feathery jig, the ChocoMog Materia gets handed over by them.

That spell includes the summoning of a Chocobo, which is very helpful and on which a Moogle rides. Together these can smash the enemies, which can cause some serious physical damage. And, then, the Chocobo picks up the disoriented Moogle and then they both run off together.

In the Final Fantasy VII Remake, this dynamic duo is all set to return and will be appearing much earlier in the storyline, compared to what happened in the original game.

In the official Twitter handle, Square Enix shared a video of the new functionality of ChocoMog, with the caption: ‘They might look cute and innocent, but Chocobo and Moogle have no problem charging into battle’.

In this uploaded video, the fans got to see the Cloud summon the ChocoMog spell. The Chocobo rears back before an entire herd of Chocobos runs forward, while smashing into the enemies of the game, and led by the Moogle and Chocobo, that was summoned in the initial parts.

The work of summons is pretty different in Final Fantasy VII Remake. As it was seen in one of the earlier gameplay videos that were released by Square Enix, summons had appeared for only once, fired off an attack, and then left. But, not they show up and accompany the party in the fight, for a long period of time.

This functionality was also seen at play with Ifrit. In the released video, Ifrit is summoned while Cloud, Tifa, and Aerith are seen battling out Abzu, a massive reptilian boss, who is located in the sewers below the Wall Market. The Ifrit has functions like that of a fourth member of the party, ultimately firing off a massive fire-based attack before vanishing for one more time.

Apart from Ifrit and ChocoMog, the fans also got to see some footage of Shiva, Chocobo Chick, Carbuncle, and Cactaur in action.
