Jakes as he closed his eyes immediately and started to lead the viewers into a prayer that calls for protection. It is a very interesting thing to note that after so many years, when the Americans are going away from the rituals of the church and some innumerable people reportedly said that that they do not feel like ascribing to any particular religion, these are astounding pictures. Though data and studies have still not appeared as of now and it does seem that the Coronavirus pandemic has brought a lot of people closer to their faith and there is no other way but to turn to God at this grave moment in the world that we are going through. The most surprising fact about the entire incident of prayer by Bishop T.D. Jakes’ prayer which took place in the name of Jesus Christ happens to be that Craig Melvin followed suit and chanted ‘Amen’ quite in an agreement while answering.
The prayer by bishop T.D. Jakes that went live on air was followed by the prayer which goes like that it is for those folks who are not able to visit the church yesterday. He also said that he has done something like this first time on-air. He also asked everybody to lead us to the prayer for 30 seconds.
He went on to pray and started by paying reverence to our God and our Father and said that we are bowing our head in front of you with all the humility in the world and we are very much understanding the fact that we are not at all competent in us and also ourselves so that we can handle a global calamity of this nature. He went on to say that we are looking towards You, the Supreme Lord so that you can be the source and also the strength as we all need light and above all help from you. He also prayed further and said that the first responders be strengthened along with the people who are broadcasting. He also asked for strength for every one of us and for those people’s lives which are disrupted and devastated by the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic. He also prayed to God to give usher in peace for us that will pass all kinds of understandings. He also asked everybody to pray in the name of Christ and said Amen at the end of the prayer.
