At the end of the third match, G2 Esports has won the 2020 LEC Spring Split Championship with one of the strongest and dominant postseason performances that the fans have ever seen from the European League of Legends team. The fans are thrilled to see G2 sweep Fnatic 3-0 to win the League European Championship Spring Split 2020 playoff race. 

Fans have always been wondering about the true strength of G2. In the first they, G2 had lost to the rookie-laden roster of MAD Lions. In the following series, G2 wasn’t as clean as they were in the previous seasons. And, due to this, most of the people through that Fnatic had a great chance of winning the trophy.

But unfortunately for the Fnatic fans, G2 didn’t only come to play, but also to dominate.

From the very beginning, G2 looked way above its competitor. The seven-time champions have broken out the creative drafts with Janna, Lulu, and Kog’Maw. They had rotated to cross-map plays swiftly, and they contained themselves and showed ultimate patience.

Meanwhile, it looked that Fnatic was sluggish throughout most of the series. They were famous for their great early game pressure, but they drafted champions that needed time to ramp up in power. And, due to this, G2 defeated them with constant fights that could have never cope-up with.

The only game that was a bit competitive was the final one, where Fnatic finally drafted themselves some champions with the agency. Selfmade’sGragas and Nemesis’ Azir did give a fight in the earlier games, but due to the small positioning mistakes and the overextension, G2 was allowed to chip at the lead until there wasn’t anything to defend.

G2 has broken out the 2019 form for the series, and due to this, they stand in the same position with Fnatic with seven European championship titles. This is also Caps’ fifth consecutive championship and Perkz’s seventh of his career.

This strong team has proven that they are the best team that the Western League of Legends world has seen and that they won’t stop until the World Championship comes home with them.

In the post-match interview, the players were seen joking about the upcoming role changes again but after their success this split and the previous ones, no joke should be taken lightly form G2. Caps and Perkz are certainly the best players in their roles and their role changing has certainly brought a lot of success to the G2 Esports organization.
